Ciao, friends! Gidget & Kenny Wray founded Sip Sip hooWray in 2021. Sip Sip is a beautiful, vintage Piaggio Ape that was used in her past as a flower cart in Italy. Since then, she has received a full face-lift and now serves up cocktails and memories right here in the Foothills of North Carolina.

After 10+ years of managing an art studio together — Hip Hip hooWray Events & Designs — Gidget knew she wanted to add a lil’ something extra to her event platform. Now, convincing Mr. hip hip hooWray (also known as Kenny or Director of First Impressions) was where the real work would come in…

One night after dinner, Gidget had her laptop and sketch book in-hand and nestled up beside Kenny. She managed to sweet talk him off Twitter and then said to him, “HEY…I have an idea!”. She could hear the deep breath Kenny took and his very thoughts: “uuuhhh oohhh, here we go again”.

Before Gidget knew it they were in the car and heading south to make the her dream a BIG REALITY!

Gidget is a true southern hostess at heart. Which makes being the owner of mobile bar even more surreal. It’s exactly what she was born to do!

Whether your event is a Sunday lunch or a holiday dinner, Gidget is dedicated to staging, serving, and hosting the event to the nines.

She is a lover of all things bright, fun, and delicious! Designing Sip Sip was right up her alley. Gidget fell in love at first sight with Sip Sip. Covered in dust and bondo, Gidget saw Sip Sip for her original beauty and just knew she would be a pint-sized show stopper!

Our Certifications

Gidget Wray, owner of Sip Sip hooWray, is North Carolina Bartender Certified.

All of Sip Sip hooWray’s servers are TIPS Certified. “TIPS is a skills-based and responsible alcohol training certification program that is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving by enhancing the people skills of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol.”

Sip Sip hooWray has a COI —which stands for Certification of Insurance or Proof of Business Liability Insurance.
